Joel is responsible for DIERCON’s environmental health & safety division, construction management services, and business operations. In addition to his senior management role, Joel is the lead Instructor for environmental health and safety. He has in depth knowledge and experience in a complete range of topics, including hazardous materials/waste, emergency response, confined space entry, and other OSHA, DOT, and EPA courses. Joel oversees the management of our proven Safety and Emergency equipment inspection programs for both industrial and construction. You’ll ramp up fast with Joel’s quick paced approach to training, program development and implementation.

Joel is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Indoor Air Quality Manager (CIAQM) & Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene. He began his EHS career with the U.S. Department of Energy (Oak Ridge National Laboratory – Environmental Sciences Division). Joel has also conducted research for USDA (Southeastern Experimental Station) and has served as an EHS/Construction Consultant in the areas of Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Environmental Compliance, and Construction Management.

Joel and his wife enjoy serving communities, across the United States, in efforts to increase awareness to Environmental Justice Initiatives.
